I am directed by Secretary Sir Philip

Cunliffe-Lister to request you to inform the Board of

Education that he has had under review the present

educational system and schools organisation in long

Kong, and has decided with the full support of the

Governor of that Colony that some well-qualified

person who is experienced in educational organisation

at home, and if possible with some suitable oversens

experience, should be invited to visit Hong Song

this winter and report upon the whole question.

2. Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister would be grate-

ful if the Board could assist him by recommending

for this task the name of a suitable person either

from their om staff or from sone other source.

3. The terms of remuneration would be a

matter for settlement by mutual agreement, it being

understood
